COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Laura Dally of Bright's Grove, Ont., has had a major impact in Canada's first two wins at the of the FIBA Americas U18 Women's Basketball Tournament.
The Mustangs women's basketball recruit has led Canada to a 2-0 start with 18 points in two games.
Dally drained three of her five three-point attempts, leading Canada with 15 points in a 77-31 drubbing of Mexico in the tourney opener on June 23. She was 6-for-11 overall from the field, pulling down two rebounds anda dding a steal in the victory in 19 minutes of play.
A day later against Chile, Dally added three points, an assist and a steal in 23 minutes in a 66-33 defensively strong win.
Canada returns to the floor to today, June 25, against Costa Rica, with the playoff round running from June 26-27.
