The Western Mustangs men's basketball team continues OUA action this weekend as they head into their third and fourth games of the regular season and look for their first win of the year on their home-opening weekend. The action starts on Friday when the Mustangs host the Queen's Gaels at Alumni Hall before then facing the York Lions on Sunday afternoon.
The Mustangs have yet to find a win this season as they have already faced some of the top teams in the OUA. Coming off of a tough loss against the CIS No. 1 Carleton Ravens last Saturday, the Mustangs are looking to regroup for their next matchups this weekend against the Queen's Gaels and the York Lions.
After two games, third-year forward
Greg Morrow leads the Mustangs in scoring as he counts a field goal percentage of 67% and an average of 10 points per game on the season. Following Morrow is guard
Eric McDonald, averaging 8.5 points per game, and third-year forward
Peter Scholtes with 7.5 points per game.

The Queen's Gaels are undefeated after two games this season and will be looking to add another win to break out of their tie for first in the OUA East this Friday against the Mustangs. Queen's sits in sixth in the OUA for total points in the young season, averaging 86 points per game and 51.8% in field goals per game.
Led by 6'6" forward Mackenzie Simpson, who has posted 16.5 points-per-game and shot 60% on three-pointers. Second-year Roshane Roberts boasts a 53% field goal percentage and has averaged 13.5 points per game on the season. Rounding out the Gaels' offence is Nikola Misljencevic with 12 points per game and shooting 60% in field goals.

York Lions: Sunday, November 10 – 3:00 p.m. – Watch Live on Mustangs TV
The York Lions, who are 1-1 on the season and sit tied for second in the East division, will be looking for a win on Sunday to raise them above their current .500 win percentage after defeating the Guelph Gryphons but falling to the Lakehead Thunderwolves. York has found its niche in the scoring department with 86.4 points per game to put themselves fourth in the OUA for total scoring, while also earning more fouls for than any other team as they have shot 25.5 free throws on the season, the highest in the OUA. Â
The Lions are led by 6'6" third-year forward Ryan Ejim, who has averaged 16.5 points per game and sits in seventh for scoring on the OUA leaderboard. Daniel Tulloch and Nathan Culbreath trail just behind Ejim with 14.5 and 13.5 points per game respectively.
