Mustangs and Golden Hawks battle to a draw

WATERLOO, Ont. - The Western Mustangs women's soccer team continued their undefeated season after the team played the Laurier Golden Hawks to a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon at University Stadium.

It was an impressive outing for both goaltenders as they were able to shut down the opposing team's offence and keep their squads in the competition. Mustangs goaltender Tori Edgar stopped three shots to pick up her fourth shut out of the season while it was the second clean sheet of the year for Laurier's Katrina Ward who stopped seven shots on the day.

With their second draw of the season the Mustangs now have 3-0-2 record and sit in second place in the OUA West Division standings. The Golden Hawks sit at 3-1-2 and are tied with Western for second place in the OUA West.

The Mustangs will be back in action on Saturday, September 21, travelling to St. Catherines, Ontario, to square off against the Brock Badgers at 1:00 p.m.
