The Mustangs women's volleyball team prepares for a weekend in Toronto as they face the Ryerson Rams on Saturday and the Toronto Varsity Blues on Sunday. With just six games left in the season the Mustangs will be looking for points this weekend to move up the standings and a chance at a playoff spot.
Currently tied for fifth in the OUA West division standings with a 3-10 regular season record, the Mustangs will be entering the weekend matchups with momentum after a straight sets win over RMC and a thrilling 3-1 loss to the Queen's Gaels last week. Despite losing the match against Queen's it was an impressive performance from the Mustangs as every set was close with less than a four-point deficit against a strong OUA team.
The Mustangs are led this year by fourth-year left-side
Stephanie Kreuter, who has averaged 3.67 points per set on the season and has recorded 16 total blocks to come in at number nine on the OUA scoring leaderboard, while also leading the team in digs with a total of 121 on the season. Â Â
