With last week's win over Ryerson breaking the six game losing streak that has plagued the team since November, the Mustangs are primed to bring home a win in this weekend's matchups. After first travelling to Guelph to take on the Gryphons on Friday, Western heads back to the road on Saturday to play on Waterloo's court.

Kelsey Veltman continues to lead the team in total points, averaging 3.7 per set. In addition to leading the Mustangs, Veltman ranks 10
th in the CIS for hitting percentage with .295, while maintaining her spot as the number one female solo blocker in Canada, with 35 blocks for the season.

Aja Gyimah. In addition to being the second point leader for the Mustangs, averaging 2.7 points per set, Gyimah was recently named Western's Female Athlete of the Week for her contributions in last week's matches against Toronto and Ryerson.

Currently holding down third place in OUA West with a 6-7 record, the Gryphons are looking to Friday's match against Western to break their five game losing streak and put their season back on track.

With 9.78 kills per set, and 2.41 blocks per set, the Mustangs seem to have the upper hand at the net. However, the strength of the Gryphons lies in the backcourt, with an average of 15.62 digs per set.

While contributing to her team's impressive backcourt record, starting libero Kristen Almhjell also sits on the CIS leaderboard, sitting at fourth place in digs per set, with an average of 4.25. Meanwhile, second year Madison Dedecker leads the Gryphons in total points, averaging 3.2 points per set, with Rebecca Breau close behind at 2.6 points per set.

Tied for sixth place in OUA West with a regular season record of 2-11, the Warriors can be expected to come out fighting for a win to end their three match losing streak.

As the team, the Warriors average 9.26 kills per set, with 1.43 blocks per set. Much like Guelph, the strength of the Warriors can be found in the backcourt, with the team averaging 14.04 digs per set.

Senior Warrior Natasha Spaling leads the Waterloo score sheet, averaging 2.8 points per set. Claire Mackenzie and Shannon Lodoen follow close behind, with 2.5 and 2.4 points per set respectively.

Kristen Bartman, third year libero, is the only Warrior to appear on the CIS leaderboard. Bartman currently ranks sixth in digs per set, with an average of 4.36.
