Starting off the season with more losses than wins, the York Lions have stepped up their game and won six out of their last 10 games. They go into the weekend hoping to start a winning streak after their recent victory against the Toronto Varsity Blues.Â
Leading the Lions on the scoresheet is fifth-year Nick Tufegdzich with an average of 19.7 points per game. Tufegdzich has sunk double digits in every game but their contest against the Ryerson Rams and leads their defence with 9.9 rebounds per game. Teammate Nathan Culbreath is connecting with a 52.2% success rate in his field goal attempts, which puts him on top of the scoresheet and clearly in a position to start and finish plays made on the court and in the key.Â
The Mustangs must prevent the Lions from gaining access to the net from the free throw line, as their 72.9% success rate from the line could cause cause trouble for the Mustangs on the scoreboard.Â
