The Mustangs head to Windsor in hopes to add another victory to their record, after splitting their first two games of the season with a loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks after a season opener victory against the Waterloo Warriors.

Although early in the season, Western sits in second place in the OUA West Division Standings, tied at two points with the Laurier Golden Hawks. They sit behind the Windsor Lancers, who currently have a 2-0 record.

Greg Morrow leads the team with an average of 29.5 points per game, including recording a game-high 32 points in their contest against Laurier. Teammates Anthony Spridis and
Peter Scholtes follow with 14 and 13 points per game, respectively. Scholtes returns to the court after missing the 2014-15 season as a key defensive player, averaging 6.5 rebounds per game, alongside teammate

Nikola Farkic has played an average of 17 minutes and sinking 5 points per game, with a 75% field goal success rate. Fellow rookie
Ian Smart took to the court for the first time in his career, grabbing 5 rebounds in the contest against Waterloo. Much of the Mustangs success came from the free throw line, where five players have over a 70% success rate, contributing the the team's overall 75% success rate from the line.

They began their 2015-16 season going 2-0 against the Laurier Golden Hawks and Waterloo Warriors, placing them first in the OUA West Division Standings.

Fifth-year Lancer, Alex Campbell, currently leads the pack with 26 points per game, and recording 30 points in their season opener against Laurier. He is followed by teammate, and first year player, Isiah Osborne, with an average of 19.5 points per game, and Marko Kovac with 12.5 points.

Both Campbell and Osborne lead the Lancer defence with 7.5 rebounds per game, making them threats to the Mustangs in the key and under the basket. In his first year of the OUA, Osborne has also recorded an average of 3 steals per game and has a 77.8% success rate from the free throw line.

Although the Lancers have four players over 70% success rate at the free throw line, the teams overall rate of 65.8% trails behind the Mustangs 75% success rate. The Lancers have to watch their amount of fouls given, as the Mustangs have been able to take advantage at the free throw line to help add to their score.Â
