Coming off of a weekend split with Ryerson and Toronto, the Mustangs now get set for their toughest two-game stretch of the schedule as they head to the nation's capital to take on the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees.
Â
Western currently holds down the second spot in the OUA West Division with a 3-2 record, only two points behind the 4-1 Laurier Golden Hawks and Windsor Lancers who are tied for the top spot.
Â
Greg Morrow continues to top the Mustang scoresheet in his fifth year of OUA competition. So far in 2015 he's averaged 24.6 points per game and converted 59% of his field goals to lead the team in both categories. Coming in just behind Morrow is forward
Anthony Spiridis, who's registered 14.2 points per game, including a team-high 24 in Sunday's win over Toronto, a feat that earned Western male athlete of the week honours.
Â
Fellow veteran
Peter Scholtes has also looked strong in his return to the lineup, contributing 11.8 PPG and connecting on 40% of his shots from three point range.

The perennial powerhouse Carleton Ravens are once again one of the top teams in the nation, occupying second place on the latest CIS Top 10 rankings, as well as sharing the top spot in the OUA North Division alongside Ottawa with a 5-0 record.
Â
Kaza Kajami-Keane leads the Ravens flock with 16.6 points per game. He scores consistent double digits this season making him a key point of interest for Mustang defence. Three other players hit an average of double digits in their lineup including Connor Wood with 13.6 points per game.
Â
Their defence is lead by Cameron Smythe and Mitchell Wood who top the team with eight and seven rebounds respectively. With a majority of the team making more than three rebounds per game, the Ravens typically don't allow too many second chance points, meaning that the Mustangs will need to make the most of their opportunities on Friday night.
