Currently on a two game winning streak, the Mustangs head to Thunder Bay to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday night at the Thunder Dome in hopes to stretch that streak to three.

The Mustangs sit in second place with a record of 11-6, following right behind the Windsor Lancers who have a game in hand. Both teams have 22 points in the standings and sit comfortably on top of third place Laurier Golden Hawks who have 12. The Lakehead Thunderwolves sit in second place with a record of 9-7, right behind the McMaster Marauders in the OUA Central Division.

Greg Morrow had a successful weekend surpassing his 1000th OUA career point against the Nipissing Lakers. He sits in fourth place of the CIS Individual Offence Leaderboard with 22.7 points per game. Morrow also tops the Mustang leaderboard with 7.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists, making him a Mustangs threat to any opponent.
In an overtime thriller last Saturday against the Laurentian Voyageurs, captain
Quinn Henderson sunk 21 points of his own, putting him right behind Morrow with an average of 11.8 points per game. Following on the heels of his teammate,
Anthony Spiridis hit 14 points against the Voyageurs to record an average of 11.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Going 4-1 in their last five games, the Thunderwolves have found luck in the second half of their season, having given up three losses in their first five games of the season. After their recent loss against CIS No. 3 Ryerson Rams, the Thunderwolves hope to turn their luck around and grab a victory against the Mustangs on Saturday night.

Four players currently top the Thunderwolves scoresheet with fifth-year guard Dwayne Harvey sinking 13.3 points per game. Hitting double digits in all but one regular season game, Harvey has been one of the strongest players for the Thunderwolves force. Bacarius Dinkins leads the teams defence with 8.2 rebounds per game, with about six defensive rebounds to help him team get on the offence and sink the ball.
