The Mustangs prepare for a split week against the Windsor Lancers on the road at the St. Denis Centre on Wednesday, January 11 and at Alumni Hall on Saturday, January 14.
After breaking their five game losing streak with a victory over the York Lions last Saturday, the Mustangs hope to continue their good luck against the Lancers. They currently sit with a 2-8 record in a tie for third place with the Algoma Thunderbirds in the OUA West.
The Mustangs scoring is led by Eriq Jenkins with 13.9 points per game, followed close by Omar Shiddo's 13.6 average. Shiddo has established himself as an integral part of the purple and white offense throughout the season and was a key contributor to last weekend's win over the Gaels.
Jenkins' impressive performance extends to the defensive end, as he averages a team-leading 4.6 defensive rebounds per game and 2.7 steals.
Cam Morris and Jedson Tavernier follow in scoring with 8.2 and 8.0 points per game, respectively.
The Mustangs scoring percentage sits at 46.7% success in field goals, while their free throw percentage has increased to 55.0% after struggling to make baskets in the beginning of the season.

The Lancers currently sit in first in the OUA West with a 6-4 record after winning their most recent two games.
A well balanced offence has been the key to Windsor's success this season, with three athletes averaging more than 15 points-per-game. Micqueel Martin leads the group with 16.7 points, while Mitch Farrell and Mike Rocca record 16.0, and 15.9 points.
The talents of Rocca and Farrell were highlighted in last week's contests, with each hitting the 20-point mark in a single game. Rocca's came from a 21-point performance against York, while Farrell racked up 25 against Queen's.
Farrell also leads the team defensively with an average of six rebounds, while Tyler Persaud grabs five. Much like the Lancers offence, their defense relies on a range of athletes instead of focusing on a single player. Rocca adds another 4.8 defensive rebounds to the team's total, while Martin pitches in 4.1.
As a team the Lancers record a 38.2% field goal success rate with a 31.0 percentage from the three-point line. Despite accuracy rates that put Windsor towards the bottom of the OUA the team has been able to thrive thanks to the sheer quantity of shots taken. Their field goal percentage is only higher than four other OUA teams, but they reign supreme when it comes to attempts.
The teams will face off for the first time in Windsor on Wednesday, while Saturday will see them compete in Alumni Hall. Both games are available for streaming live on OUA.tv.
