BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Mustangs headed to Boston to compete against tough competition in the CSA Championships this past weekend. The boys played in the division two tournament, and capturing bronze.
The purple and white beat University of Virginia with seven wins to two losses; a great start to the weekend. They continued on to play to George Washington University, an incredibly tough match up which ended with the Mustangs losing with nine games to zero. George Washington went on to capture first place in this division after beating Yale in the finals.
The next match up of the tournament was against Brown, with the Mustangs coming out on top, winning with seven wins to two losses again. Captain
Nick Guest won in his fifth game against Brown with a score of 11-9. This win was highly celebrated by the team, as he played his last game competing for Western.
The Mustangs ultimately finished third in the second division, coming up behind Yale and George Washington.
Members of both the men's and women's squash teams will be travelling to Montreal, Quebec to play in the 2018 Canadian University and College Squash Championships on Saturday, March 3
rd, 2018.
