MVP: Jackson Findlay
The football team finished their season with a 7-1 standing overall. Evan Hillock had 17 total touchdowns, leading the team with points this year. The Mustangs are ranked number 1 in the league with 47 touchdowns. The Mustangs had playoff wins over McMaster & Guelph, getting a berth into the Yates Cup Championship game against Laurier. Western ended up falling 51-31 to the Golden Hawks.
Western was well represented in year end awards. Jackson Findlay was named the OUA President's Award winner as Outstanding Stand-Up Defensive Player while Erik Andersen received the J.P. Metras Award as Lineman of the Year & PJ Edgeworth was named Assistant Coach of the Year. There were 10 Mustangs named OUA All-Stars including Seth Robertson, Alex Berwick, Erik Andersen, Max von Muehldorfer, Riley MacLeod, Jackson Findlay, Richard Aduboffour & Brian Garrity were all First Team All-Stars. Philippe Cote & Soren Hallschmid were Second Team All-Stars, Thomas Silcox was also named to the All-Rookie Team.
Robertson & Andersen were named First Team All-Canadians while Berwick & Aduboffour were both Second Team All-Canadians.
