Jackson Findlay - Football
2025 Mustangs Purple Blanket Recipient
Jackson Findlay has had an incredible career as a member the Mustangs Football team. He has been an Academic All-Canadian every year in time as Western and was honoured this year as one of U SPORTS Top 8 Academic All-Canadians.
He is a Medical Science student and aspires to be a Pediatric Oncologist. He was selected 16th overall in the 2025 CFL Draft and is currently signed with the BC Lions.Â
He has been the defensive MVP for the football program the past two seasons. He was named the 2024 OUA Most Outstanding Defensive Player and has been a first team All-Canadian and OUA All-star.
He has been on three OUA Yates Cup Championship teams (2022, 22 & 23) and a Vanier Cups National Champion (2021).
Jackson is an outstanding young man and has been a great ambassador for our university and athletic program. He was the 2024-25 Mustangs Athlete Student Council President. He volunteers at the London
Boys & Girls club and coaches the Western women's flag football team.
Jackson is one of the most impactful players to have ever played football here at Western. His impact on the field, in the classroom and within the Western & London community is simply outstanding.
