The Mustangs took 2nd place in both men's & women's team standings at the 2025 OUA Swimming Championship in Markham.Ā

Western came home with 5 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.Ā

Kieran Stone has a standout weekend for the Mustangs, winning a pair of individual gold medals in the 200 free and 400 free, he added a silver in the 200 IM andĀ bronze in the 400 IM. Stone was also on Men's 4x100 relay team and the 4x200 relay teams, both who won silver medals.Ā

Other gold medal winners included Luke Stewart-Beinder in the 100 Free, Isaac Allen in the 50 Breaststoke and the Women's 4x200 relay team which includedĀ Hannah Estabrooks, Heidi Bartoch, Robin Vadeika & Danielle Treasure.Ā

Mustangs 1st yearĀ Zea WetzlaugkĀ was named OUA Women's Rookie of the Year in the Major Awards presentation, while Stone and Shona Branton, who had to withdraw from the event due to illness, were given Awards of Distinction which are given toĀ individuals who have medaled at three or more OUA Championships.Ā
