Dylan Deverill - Squash
2025 Mustangs Purple Blanket Recipient

Dylan is one of the top players to ever represent Western. Dylan has played in the top 2 positions on the Mustangs roster for all 4 years and finished 5th at the Canadian Senior Nationals in 2024. He was also the runner up in the 2021 U23 Canadian Nationals.

Dylan is the highest rated player on our team and is a member of the Squash Canada NextGen National Squad. He was selected to represent Canada at the Senior Pan Am Games in 2024 where he won a bronze medal in the individual companion event.

He is a 3 time OUA first team all star, but missed this season's OUA championships because of an illness. Dylan won the 2023 Intercollegiate Nationals Doubles Championships. Also that season he he was voted our team MVP. 

"Besides his achievement on the court, Dylan is a tremendous leader for his teammates." said Chris Hanebury, Mustangs Men's Squash Head Coach. "He does an amazing job making all of his teammates, regardless of their skill level, feel welcome and an equal part of the team. He's also displayed elite sportsmanship even when faced with the most contentious and high pressure situations."
