SEASON RECAP
The Mustangs had a 7-2 record in 2025. Western won the first seven games of the regular season and lost a nail-biter against Guelph in the Quarterfinals.
Erik Andersen was named the J.P. Metras Award winner as the OUA Lineman of the Year, and Jackson MacKay took the Norm Marshall Award as OUA Rookie of the Year.
Ethan Dolby, Keegan O'Neil, Max von Muehldorfer & Andersen were named 1st Team OUA All-Stars. Seth Robertson, Phillipe Cote and Reed Cloutier were named 2nd Team All-Stars, and Mackay was named to the All-Rookie Team.
Andersen was also recognized as the U SPORTS J.P. Metras Award winner as Lineman of the Year. He is the third Mustang to win the award in the program's history. Andersen & von Muehldorfer were both named First Team All-Canadians while Dolby was named a Second Team All-Canadian.
At the conclusion of the season, Head Coach Greg Marshall announced that he was retiring from his role after nearly 20 years at the helm. The Mustangs Sports & Recreation department and the entire Mustangs Football program thank him for his dedication, commitment and passion. We recognized Marshall at the 2026 Mustangs Awards with this video feature.
