Freshman Michelle Saunders was a dominant player on special teams helping Western to its first road win of the season in a 4-1 decision over the York Lions with a three-point effort. In all she had points on four Western's six weekend goals with two goals and two assists from the blue-line. Three of those points, including both goals, came on the powerplay. The rookie from Oakville, Ont., leads the OUA in points and goals for defenders in 2010-11.
