LONDON, Ont. - Western (1-0) won its first regular season game with a 34-15 win over the Brock Badgers at the UWO Practice Fields.

Lynzi Anderson (Barrie, Ont.) scored two tries for 10 points and nearly had a third, while Karen Harwood (London, Ont.) also had 10 points on two tries.

Jennifer Cufino (Port Credit, Ont.) and Jessica Belchos (Innisfil, Ont.) also scored single tries for Western, Martha Goodrow (Aurora, Ont.) and Liz Wilson (Ottawa, Ont.) booted one convert each.

The Mustangs now prepare for a Friday night game under the lights at Trent University in Peterborough, Ont., on Sept. 18.
