OTTAWA - Fourth-year forward Andy Wedemire (Sarnia, Ont.) was named a second-team All-Canadian on Thursday March 18 by Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
Wedemire was one of four OUA players to earn national all-star recognition.
He had a solid season for Western, emerging as the team's leading scorer (12th in CIS, 6th in OUA) averaging 19.2 points per game with a 49.6 shooting percentage. He was second in the nation, making 132 free-throws, and was eighth in Canada in defensive rebounds with 121.
