Waterloo, ON - Western played a strong game against Waterloo this Sunday but finished with a 2-2 tie.

"The score didn't really reflect the level of play." said Mustangs Head Coach Jeff Pacheco.

First year players Rachel Tidball and Katie-Jo Smith were the goal scorers for Western.

The pace of the game was set in the second quarter as defender Cameron Hahn hit the ball towards the scoring area, Taryn Kennedy re-directed the shot across the net which allowed Tudball to run to the ball and flick it around the goalie.

With six minutes left in the game, Smith carried the ball beating a few Waterloo players and then waited the goalie out with a quick shot to the corner of the net to tie the game.

The Mustangs will meet the Warriors again on October 8th.
