London, ON - Playing in their first night-time game, the Western Mustangs met the Marauder's fast-paced style on their bouncy away turf.

Although the first quarter served as an adjustment period, the Mustangs stayed intent and positive, and scored early in the second quarter on a short corner goal from co-captain Madison Fisher, assisted by Asia Porcu.

Western was supported by a strong left-side defense from rookie Emma Hillier and midfield Olivia Hledin. Following a beautiful, albeit discounted goal from high-scorer Payten Lang, the Mustangs continued to press the offensive.

Never one to back down from the challenge, Payten Lang used multiple circle entries, supported by fellow forwards Taryn Kennedy and Damanpreet Toor, to secure Western's second goal of the game, ending the play with a score of 2-0.
