The Women's team took their second consecutive OUA Championship banner this season. They finished 2nd, 3rd, 5th,6th & 7th in their scoring positions, which counted for 23 scoring points. The 2nd place team, the Queen's Gaels, had a team points total of 65. Ashley Maguire finished with the silver medal individually with her final time of 28:51.5. All Mustangs runners were named 1st Team All-Stars.
On the men's side, the Mustangs finished in 4th place in the team standings. Western's scoring athletes finished 10th, 16th, 17th, 22nd & 26th.
The Mustangs top individual finisher was Ben Fox who ran a final time of 25:12.8.
Head Coach Guy Schultz was named OUA Women's Coach of the Year.
The Mustangs Women added to their outstanding season by capturing the U SPORTS Championship banner as well. Western finished in the top spot of the team standings after scoring 60 points from their top five finishers, this included Ashley Maguire (5), Olivia Roussel (8), Sandra Guga (14), Sophie Coutts (16) & Anna Carruthers (17).
Maguire, who is a 1st Team All-Canadian with her 7th place individual finish, Roussel was named a 2nd Team All-Canadian.
Schultz was also named U SPORTS Women's Coach of the Year.
On the men's side, they finished in 8th place in the team standings with a point total of 254.
Ben Fox's final time was 24:03, the top individual finisher for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs top 5 finishers were Fox (20), Marcel Scheele (44), Tom Boers (57), Satveer Gill (62) & Rory McGarvey (71).
