Peterborough, ON - The Mustangs Women's Fencing team brought home plenty of hardware from the 2026 OUA Championship this weekend.

The two day competition started with the individual events. Western's Judy Li beat Toronto's Valerie Qi 15–14 in the gold medal bout in Épée:. Jenny Li added a second medal for Western, earning bronze with a 15–9 victory over Toronto's Lillia Mucsi.



Day two of the event was the team relays and the Mustangs were battling with the Varsity Blues all day long. Western would finish in 2nd across the three weapons. The silver medalists were as follows. In Foil: Ellis Fong, Rosie Kim, Elizabeth Upton, Robin Wang. 



Épée: Elizabeth Fan, Jenny Li, Judy Li, Allyson Wu. 



Sabre: Saungeun (Elizabeth) Jeon, Jasnoor Kalsi, Louisa Lewicki, Zoe Wu (Ngo). 



The Mustangs finished 2nd overall with 320 points. The Varsity Blues took the banner with 385 points and Queen's was third with 177 points.
