SEASON RECAP
The men's team finished 3rd at the 2026 OUA Men's Fencing Championship.

On day one, Western sat 5th with 45 points. The top finisher of the day was Jason Park, who finished 2nd in Men's Foil individually. Johnathan Chai was the top finisher in epee, finishing 5th. On day two, the Mustangs defeated McMaster 45-35 in the bronze medal match to take a ten-point lead for third place in the overall standings. Western added 61 points, finishing 2nd in the epee relay and rounded out the team relays with a 6th place finish in sabre, adding another 25 points. In total, the Mustangs finished with 181 points and a team bronze medal.

The women's team brought home plenty of hardware from the 2026 OUA Championship.

The two day competition started with the individual events. Western's Judy Li beat Toronto's Valerie Qi 15–14 in the gold medal bout in Épée:. Jenny Li added a second medal for Western, earning bronze with a 15–9 victory over Toronto's Lillia Mucsi. Day two of the event was the team relays and the Mustangs were battling with the Varsity Blues all day long. Western would finish in 2nd across the three weapons. The Mustangs finished 2nd overall with 320 points. The Varsity Blues took the banner with 385 points and Queen's was third with 177 points.
