Erin Grand (Toronto) scored a pair of goals for Western, including the game-winning goal, in a 5-0 win over McMaster Sept. 27.
Grand's first goal came off a corner kick earned after strong wing play by Chantal Blais (Toronto) created the set-piece opportunity. A curling corner kick from Robyn Sudeyko (Calgary, Alta.) found Grand's head, and then the back of the McMaster net on a beautiful play, making it 1-0 Western just 10 minutes in.
In the second half, Grand added her second in the dying minutes, volleying the ball off a corner kick on a tight angle from the right post.
The Kinesiology major's speed posed problems for McMaster's defence throughout the night.
