Keaton Turkiewicz had two goals and three assists for the Western Mustangs men's hockey team in a pair of wins - 7-2 and 8-3 - on the weekend over the No. 10 nationally ranked Lakehead Thunderwolves.
The sophomore set up Jason Fulong's game-winning goal on Jan. 8, midway through the second period in a 7-2 Mustangs win. He had two assists in the game.
The next night, Turkiewicz finished the night with two goals and one assist in an 8-3 win over Lakehead. Turkiewicz's first goal of the night gave Western a 2-0 lead on the powerplay and his second goal of the game chased rookie Alex Dupuis from the Thunderwolves net.
Turkiewicz's five-point weekend helped the No. 3 nationally ranked Mustangs to extend their regular season winning streak to 16 games.
