PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Western Mustangs got a try and a penalty goal from rookie Laurie Biewald (Ottawa, Ont.) for eight points in a 18-5 win over the Excalibur on Sept. 18 under the lights and on the turf at Trent University.

Western improves to 2-0 with the win and received other tries from Martha Goodrow (Aurora, Ont.) and Lynzi Anderson (Barrie, Ont.).

The Mustangs also had strong offensive performances from Yvonne Kwan (Port Credit, Ont.) and Liz Wilson (Ottawa, Ont.), according to head coach Natascha Wesch.

Western's next game is at Waterloo on Friday Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
