Brampton, ON - The Mustangs co-ed cheerleading team made it 34 wins in 35 years at the PCA National Collegiate Championship.
The championship was held at the CAA Centre in Brampton over the weekend and the Mustangs beat Queen's with a final score of 475.7.
"I am very proud of the athletes because this year's team of 36, had 16 rookies and only 4 seniors." said Head Coach David-Lee Tracey "The burden of expectation for the Mustang cheerleaders to win is heavy, yet they carried it well and put on 2 excellent performances in both rounds of the competition."
The Western All-Girls team also came home with some hardware, finishing 2nd in the University All Girl division. The Mustangs finished with a final score of 449.9, which trailed only Guelph who finished with a 451.7.
