Brampton, ON - The Co-Ed Cheer team cranked off another win at the PCA Collegiate Championships in Brampton on Friday, claiming Western's 35th title in Large Co-Ed.
There were 15 teams from 12 universities at the event and Western Co-ed was the highest scoring team across all divisions. The premier showcase division is always the Large Coed which generally comes down to Western vs Queen's. The Mustangs have a great competitive rivalry with the Gaels, and after the event the teams circle up and sing each other's school songs together.
The amazing statistic on this year's win was that of the 35 people on the floor (17 men and 18 women), only 6 had previously competed for Western. The other 29 were all rookies.
