Over the past four years, Gavin has firmly established himself as one of the best wrestlers in university wrestling, making him an exceptional candidate for this honor.

Gavin's impressive wrestling career is highlighted by his accumulation of four OUA medals, including one gold, and two U SPORTS medals, including one gold. His consistent success at these high-level competitions demonstrates his exceptional talent.

Beyond his individual accomplishments, Gavin has shown remarkable leadership as a captain of the wrestling team for the past two years. 

Gavin's prowess extends beyond the university level. He is a junior national freestyle champion and a senior national champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. His representation of Canada at the U20 Pan American Championships in freestyle and the Pan American Championships, the U23 Pan Ams and U23 World Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling, speaks volumes about his skill and dedication to the sport.
